About the job Superintendent (Roofing)


The Superintendent plays a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of roofing projects, ensuring field activities are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. Working closely with Project Managers, this individual will provide leadership and direction to crews and subcontractors, coordinate scheduling, and ensure smooth project delivery. The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with an emphasis on safety and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise roofing crews and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and on schedule.

Conduct daily site inspections to maintain quality control and enforce safety protocols.

Plan, schedule, and coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors for each project.

Act as the on-site representative, maintaining clear communication with clients, inspectors, and internal teams.

Identify and resolve on-site issues quickly, minimizing delays and disruptions.

Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies, conducting toolbox talks and enforcing best practices.

Track project progress, maintain accurate field documentation, and prepare daily or weekly reports.

Support the Project Manager in monitoring budgets, change orders, and schedule impacts.

Mentor and train crew members, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and craftsmanship.

Represent the company professionally on job sites, promoting a positive reputation with clients and partners.
